April 2021 left Mandurah for a 8 week cruise up to Shark Bay. Visited and overnighted in Two Rocks, Lancelin, Cervantes, Green Head, Port Denison, Geraldton and Port Gregory, staying several days at each visit. Unfortunately had major fuel blockage at Port Gregory due to a sudden explosion of black fungus in tanks. Discovered later it was due to bad fuel from baileys at Two Rocks. Limped back to Geraldton where we had to stay for a week while the whole fuel system had to be “blown out” and tanks cleaned. Not happy. Now carry heaps of fuel additive to prevent same thing happening again. Local cray boats also have had the same problems. Other than that (not getting to shark bay) all systems performed really well after the major re-fit. Since being back have replaced both steering rams. Looking at going up the coast again in April 2022.
